I asked one of our designers, Adam Smith, to share his current top ten web sites with us. His list isn’t in any particular order and covers a range of sites from clothes shops to tabloid gossip to work based, design led galleries. As a ‘suit’ I’m always interested in where creative people get their inspiration, this gives us an insight into where Adam gets some of his.
First up is http://us.bape.com/ it’s a clothes shop but the intro animation is what I really like about it.
http://www.smashingmagazine.com is a great site for up-to-date web
information. Gallery sites like http://webcreme.com/ and http://cssdrive.com/ are helpful for seeing what is happening on sites around the world. They act like directories and are popular with designers. http://kuler.adobe.com/ is from Adobe and has a lovely use of colour. http://www.cssplay.co.uk/ is a good site for CSS tips and tricks as is http://psd.tutsplus.com/ for Photoshop tips. Flash isn’t popular with everyone but I really like the use of it in this http://waterlife.nfb.ca/. http://vi.sualize.us/ offers pages of inspiration, like sitting in the world’s biggest studio. Lastly http://www.holymoly.com is awful, libellous, trashy and great, great fun€¦.
